SEKILAS TENTANG BUKU
The research has demonstrated the epistemology of unity of knowledge between the systems is the basis of deriving the meaning formalism, application and continuity of such synergy system. It has also shown the degree of variable linkages (complementarities) and tradeoff (marginal substitution) by the signs and magnitude of the coefficients. The case of marginal substitution negates sectoral complementarities can be corrected by appropriate policy applications to establish complementarities and co-ordination between petroleum sector with economic, social and environment.
The research demonstrates that the methodology of relational epistemology is drawn up to point out the issues of sustainability in reference to petroleum and the economy. In order to improve the social wellbeing, several policies need to be addressed including: limiting the gas export to stimulate the conversion of energy use from oil to gas, introducing fiscal policy to stimulate cleaner energy usage, lifting the oil subsidy, plowing back petroleum revenue to boost oil and gas exploration and production investment climate, and providing full support financially and politically for national oil companies growth.
The model proposed in this research refines the overall understanding of the conception of sustainability from interaction of the economy, environment and society in a climate of pervasive complementarities between the knowledge driven entities and their evolutionary systems. This understanding would be necessary to the policy makers to improve sustainable socioeconomic development in Indonesia.
